Blake Lively 'Fighting Back' After 'Major Hit' in Justin Baldoni Lawsuit

Blake Lively recently suffered a setback in her lawsuit with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, and insiders claim that it shook her. A judge dismissed 10 of her 13 claims, including the sexual harassment allegations, leaving only three claims set for trial, including breach of contract, retaliation, and aiding and abetting retaliation. The ruling changed the shape of the case overnight and raised the stakes for what comes next on May 18 in Manhattan federal court. But insiders suggest Lively is not backing down.

Sources say Blake Lively feels ‘devastated’ and ‘angry’ as three claims head to trial May 18

Insiders speaking to Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice claimed that Blake Lively is “devastated” with what happened in the Justin Baldoni lawsuit. One insider told Shuter, “This is not the outcome she expected.” Moreover, the source suggested that her emotions are running high behind the scenes, claiming, “She’s angry,” adding, “She feels like her story isn’t being fully heard.”

Despite everything, though, Lively reportedly does not plan to step away. The source claimed, “Blake is not quitting,” adding, “She’s digging in,” while another insider explained, “This just became a different fight,” noting that it got “Narrower — but more intense.”

Lively addressed the ruling publicly. In a statement that she shared on her Instagram Stories, she wrote, “I am grateful for the Court’s ruling which allows the heart of my case to be presented to a jury next month, and for the ability to finally tell my story in full at trial.” She added, “The last thing I wanted in my life was a lawsuit, but I brought this case because of the pervasive RETALIATION I faced.” Lively concluded, “I know it’s a privilege to be able to stand up. I will not waste it.”

Her attorney, Mike Gottlieb, told Harper's Bazaar that the harassment claims did not move forward because of “legal issues rather than an endorsement of the defendants’ conduct.”

Now, the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni lawsuit has been narrowed down to what a jury will hear in May. Lively’s side deems it as unfinished business. As one insider told Naughty But Nice, “She took a major hit. But now it’s personal — and she’s fighting back.”
