Jessica Simpson Dating Again After Eric Johnson Divorce — Report

Months after her divorce, Jessica Simpson is reportedly dating again. Fifteen months after she and former NFL tight end Eric Johnson revealed the end of their ten-year marriage, the singer is dating Nashville musician Thomas Eisenhood. TMZ first spotted the pair together, and a source close to Simpson claims, “She's happy. She's in a great place, excited for her future.” Eisenhood played baritone sax for the indie band Stoop Kids until the group broke up in 2023.

Jessica Simpson is “happy” and “excited for her future” as she co-parents kids with Eric Johnson, says source

PEOPLE exclusively reported that friends in Nashville’s studio scene introduced Eric Johnson to Jessica Simpson early this year, and the two have allegedly been spending time and dating between his East Nashville neighborhood and Simpson’s Hidden Hills, California, base. The relationship is still in its early days, and Eisenhood has reportedly not yet met Simpson’s three children — Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie.

A source told PEOPLE, “She and Eric are committed to being the best possible parents they could be, having a harmonious relationship and supporting their kids,” so parenting remains the top priority for them. When Simpson and Johnson announced their separation in January 2025, they chose to keep living under one roof. The source explained, “He’s been living there, but they’re working on selling the house.”

Since that update, Johnson has allegedly moved to a nearby rental, giving both parents a bit more space while keeping carpools and school runs easy. Another insider noted that the former couple “still have a great relationship,” adding that “They're still co-parenting,” and “The main goal is the kids, but they're moving toward next steps.”

While first speaking about the divorce with PEOPLE, Jessica Simpson said, “Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage.” She added, “Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them.”
