A family source told the outlet, “There is a genuine sense of confusion about what draws them together on a deeper level.” They claimed, “their worlds, priorities, and ways of thinking appear so far apart,” adding that among family and friends, there has long been a feeling that they are “fundamentally mismatched.” In that, people close to them are not always sure that the pairing makes sense.
Moreover, a source claimed that Jenner has been “going above and beyond to lift him out of” a rough stretch and has been putting emotional effort into the relationship — and this matters because it shifts the story away from stereotypes and toward two very different celebrities with separate public lives.
