Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse walked the Cannes red carpet this week, using the platform to announce that they are pregnant.
The 32-year-old model is pregnant with her and Sprouse’s first child — and as Palvin cradled a visible bump in her spectacular light blue gown at Cannes, her husband stood beside her throughout, in a classic tuxedo. They cozily posed on a staircase, smiling for the cameras.

Hours after Cannes, Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse made it Instagram-official, announcing they were pregnant with a hilarious photo. The photo that caught everyone’s eye was an ultrasound — the baby’s hand curled into what looked exactly like the sign of the horns, or the “rock on” hand gesture. Palvin and Sprouse posted a second shot of themselves making the same gesture, also mimicking it in the caption, “🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼.”
The baby’s due date is reportedly around late summer this year — and the news has come less than a year after Palvin opened up about undergoing surgery for endometriosis, making this chapter feel especially sweet for people who have been rooting for her.
Palvin and Sprouse met at a party in 2017 after Palvin playfully cut in front of Sprouse in a line. She followed him on Instagram, and he slid into her DMs — after which she did not read his message for six months — but the two started talking properly after that and finally met in person in China. Sprouse told Vogue about their first kiss, revealing, “[We had] our first kiss, after [she] horked down a third of my burrito.”
By January 2019, they shared a Brooklyn apartment, even before Palvin met Sprouse’s twin brother Cole. Sprouse proposed on a camping trip in California in September 2022 but waited until a June 2023 interview with V Magazine to confirm the engagement, telling them, “We didn’t necessarily feel the need to be fully transparent with the public.” A month later, Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse got married at Palvin’s parents’ countryside estate in Hungary — and now, they are pregnant after their long journey.
