Pattinson shared that his 2-year-old toddler immediately recognized him in the trailer for Dune: Part Three, even though he looks very different as the villain Scytale, telling Kimmel, “She immediately recognized me, which is really strange from the trailer. But the price he paid was being compared to an egg!

Robert Pattinson’s daughter spotted him instantly in the Dune: Part Three trailer, called him 'eggy'

Robert Pattinson shares his daughter with Suki Waterhouse, who welcomed their baby girl in March 2024 — and now, as a 2-year-old, she thinks her dad looks like an “egg” in the Dune: Part 3 trailer. The couple rarely speaks publicly about their daughter, so Pattinson’s story stood out as a chance anecdote during the interview.

Pattinson said his daughter studied his head in the trailer, pointed at it, and called him, “eggy.” Naturally, he then tried to figure out what she meant, admitting, “I was like, ‘Are you saying I look the whole head looks like an egg or is it there’s an egg on top of my head?’” Kimmel jumped in, telling him, “You do look a little bit like an egg.”

Additionally, the actor shared how intense the look was behind the scenes, telling the host, “It was like a three-hour makeup job,” adding that director Denis Villeneuve told him, “It is so sexy. I love the hairline. It’s so sexy.” Kimmel joked back, laughing, “Seems like an HR violation.”

Pattinson has joked before about trying to impress his daughter with his work, telling GQ in his January interview, “If I’m not getting any respect, I’ll be like, ‘Who’s this? Who’s that on the screen?’” adding, “And I’m like, ‘It begins with a D! Ends with a Y!’”

Robert Pattinson’s “eggy” verdict on his Dune: Part Three look was a typical description from a 2-year-old who clearly does not care about movie-star transformations. If anything, it proved his toughest critic already knows exactly who he is.
